P29VCX & P29NI Papua New Guinea IOTA DX-Pedition 2014 : the chase ! (Epilog)

Hi all, the P29 IOTA team is now QRV again as P29VCX from IOTA OC-115 Kiriwana Island.
This morning I contacted them on 15M CW short pass for another new IOTA ! :)
The 3 possible new ones are now logged here, the next 4th reference is already confirmed here so the chase is over for me... 
Thanks a lot to SM6CVX & Co for their excellent job in PNG, hope to hear you next year with new possible islands !

ZD9XF, TY1AA, VK9NT & Co...

The conditions were good these past days ! :)
I got the opportunity to work many new band/slots and IOTAs, as follows :
- ZD9XF Tristan Da Cunha & Gough Islands was worked again on 12M & 40M CW for 2 new bands, ZD9ZS was worked on 20M SSB for another new band AND new mode !

- TY1AA Benin was worked on 30M CW & 6M CW for 2 new bands, and on 20M RTTY for a new mode !

- VK9NT Norfolk Island was worked on 20M CW & SSB, 17M CW, 15M CW & 12M CW...
4 new bands & 1 new mode thanks to this DX-Pedition ;)

- S79LCA (HB9LCA) Seychelles IOTA AF-024 was worked on 10M CW for a new band & 20M CW for a new slot...

- CO8LY Cuba was worked on 12M SSB for my last needed slot in my worked bands (now need Cuba on 80M and in RTTY)

- JA6TBE/4 IOTA AS-041 , KI1U/VE9 IOTA NA-014, JJ2YEZ/8 IOTA AS-147 , VK6ISL IOTA OC-294, BO0D IOTA AS-113 & YW5RYL IOTA SA-035 were also worked, bringing my total number of worked islands to #466
I also worked IW1DQS/YB9 from IOTA OC-239 but this activity seems not legal as no reciprocity between Italy and Indonesia... "Work First Worry Later".

Hi all, the P29 team is QRV since yesterday as scheduled as P29NI from IOTA OC-258 Kranket Island. this morning again good signal via Long Pass on 17M CW... 2 calls and "in the log".

P29VCX & P29NI Papua New Guinea IOTA DX-Pedition 2014 : the chase ! #1

Hi, SM6CXV & Co are again in PNG Islands activating some rare references ! ;)
- P29VCX IOTA OC-008 Bismarck Archipelago from September 11th to 14th.
- P29NI IOTA OC-258 Kranket Island from September 15th to 20th.
- P29VCX again IOTA OC-115 Kiriwana from September 21st to 25th.
- P29NI again IOTA OC-240 Loloata from September 25th to 30th.
Loloata Island is already confirmed here thanks to their previous activity, so it is 3 new possible IOTA references for me...
About band/slots, it would be maybe some SSB... Low bands seems too early for now.

Today, I could work them as P29VCX from IOTA OC-008 on 15M CW with a nice signal in short pass... This is my 459th worked IOTA.

Hi, a little activity these past days with one new IOTA and 2 new bands thanks to :
YB4IR/8 from IOTA OC-222 Obi Island, worked on 20M CW (my 458th IOTA)...

ZD9XF Nigel (G3TXF) from Tristan Da Cunha & Gough Islands IOTA AF-029, worked on 17M CW (#280)... Nigel is QRV with ZD9ZS (ZS1S) till October 3rd. Hope to work again new bands during their 3 weeks stay !

 

...and 4S7VG from Sri Lanka worked on 12M CW (#261 & 2nd QSO with Vasanth).

4S is now needed on low bands... this winter ? ;)

S01WS on 12M SSB in the log !

Hi all... It was a long time I didn't log Western Sahara (S04R in 2009, and S01MZ in 2008 !)...
So with S01WS so active than actually, I was happy to finally listen to him, especially on a new band :)

Coming here with a good but very QSB signal, I could log this rare-on-air DXCC yesterday afternoon on 12M SSB (#260).

I hope to work him on 10M now... Good luck to all !

Hi all,
T88VW Joe (OZ0J) is active from Palau till September 14th, this is the opportunity for me to add some new band slots for this DXCC...
This morning I could work him on 12M SSB... 

Bonus : I made a short video with my iPhone ;)

I hope to hear Joe on 10M for my last needed higher band !
