FT4JA Juan de Nova : the chase ! (Epilog)

Hi, I didn't find the time till today to write this last bill about FT4JA DX-Pedition !
Another great activity for this ATNO for most of us ! Thanks a lot to the team for their big effort...
My chase with FT4JA finished with the 30M CW : I finally could work them on a low band ! Impossible for me to be QRV or heard during the good hours for 40M-80M-160M... but I am really happy enough with all these worked slots ^^

OQRS is done and LotW already arrived, great expedition from the beginning to the end !

VK0EK Heard Island : the chase ! (Epilog)

Hi all, it's over !!
Thanks a lot to the VK0EK team for this crazy ALL TIME NEW ONE : it was hard from here to reach you but so good when logged !
After my only QSO on 15M CW, I managed to work VK0EK 5 more times on 12M CW + SSB, 15M SSB, 17M CW & on 80M CW !!

I also heard them on 160M CW but too heavy QSB & QRN, nothing on the others bands...
OQRS already done, too happy with this one ^^

More than 75000 QSOs is a great result & effort for the ham radio community !
Have a safe back trip home guys...

Some new IOTAs in the Bureau QSLs...

Hi all,
Today I went to my local Bureau in order to get my incoming Bureau QSLs.
I had the pleasure to find 8 new confirmed IOTAs as follows :
- RA4HKM/0 from IOTA AS-025 Urup Island

- D85C from IOTA AS-085 Chongsan Island

- XR2T from IOTA SA-086 Damas Island

-R7LP/0 from IOTA AS-149 Moneron Island

- 8N6NTO from IOTA AS-017 Okinawa

- JJ2YEZ/8 from IOTA AS-147 Rishiri Island

- JA6TBE/4 from IOTA AS-041 Nakano Island

- HP0INT/3 from IOTA NA-071 Boca Brava Island 

...and finally YB9/IW1DQS from IOTA OC-239 Agusta Island but for this one, I cannot add it to my totals as it not yet validated by IOTA HQ due to "Awaiting validation material", TNX anyway for QSLing ;)

FT4JA Juan de Nova : the chase ! #2

Hi,
The chase continues here with all my previous announced QSOs OK in the log update !
I also worked FT4JA on 12M SSB on April 2nd for this missing slot.

I will now try to work them on the low bands if my free time allows to. 
I checked the vertical today, all is OK ^^

VK0EK Heard Island : the chase ! #1

Hi, finally VK0EK Heard Island IOTA AN-003 is on air !
Another Most Wanted, but not easy to work from France... I had to wait some days before finding a decent signal in order to be "heard on Heard" ^^
I worked VK0EK this morning on 15M CW as an ATNO : DXCC #319 & IOTA #510 !!

 

 I will try to add some other QSO(s) but conditions are not very good right now on the others bands... "Wait and see !"

FT4JA Juan de Nova : the chase ! #1

Hi all ! Back on air for a new DX-pedition chase... ^^
This time with another big one : FT4JA Juan de Nova - IOTA AF-012, 6th most wanted DXCC !
I started my chase on March 30th, and was really happy to log them on 10M CW as an ATNO : DXCC #318 and IOTA #509 !
The next day, I could work them on 15M RTTY & SSB for a new band & 2 new modes...

 

The same day in the afternoon, I logged FT4JA on 10M SSB for a new slot & on 17M CW for a new band.
Today (April 1st), again 4 new QSOs with 17M SSB (new slot), 20M RTTY (new band), 12M CW (new band) & 15M CW (new slot) !!
I am now waiting the online log update to see if all is ok, but the Frecnh team is already doing a great job there...
